Abstract
Izbrana letališča Gradec, Ljubljana in Zagreb tvorijo nekakšen konkurenčni trikotnik.

Title:COMPARISON OF COMPETITIVNESS BETWEEN AIRPORTS GRAZ, LJUBLJANA, ZAGREB
Abstract:
The selected airports of Graz, Ljubljana and Zagreb form a kind of competitive triangle. Because all three airports are located in about the same close proximity, they are even more interesting to explore. The fact is that due to too short distances, they can compete strongly, especially when it comes to the comparison between airports Ljubljana and Zagreb, which are the main or the largest airports in their country as distinct from airport Graz, which is not. Business performance of international airports is very important for contributing to national GDP, which is influenced by airlines and their alliances or associations. Airports differ from each other in several ways. The research focuses on location, traffic, infrastructure, ticket prices and potentials for further growth. In the overall comparison, in the lead is airport Zagreb, which boasts the best location and the largest gravitational area, the largest tourist traffic, the lowest transport prices in the analyzed period and the most accessible data on further development of the airport, but airport of Jože Pučnik Ljubljana does not lag behind a lot. It records even the largest freight traffic and a slight lead regarding to infrastructure elements, but we must take into account that the research can be further expanded, which could lead to different conclusions, due to such small differences between aiports Zagreb and Ljubljana.

Keywords:Air transport, freight transport, passenger transport, comparison of statistical data, analysis.
