Abstract
V središču avtorjevega zanimanja so različne oblike slovenskega nacionalnega občutenja, ki jih prikaže skozi ideološko razgiban slovenski tiskani medijski prostor Države SHS.

Title:Slovenian Independence in 1918 – Statehood of Slovenia: The Aspect of National Consciousness of Slovenes in the State of SHS
Abstract:
The present thesis is an anthropological and ethnological view of the aspect of national consciousness of Slovenes during the time of the State of SHS. In 1918, Slovenes became an independent and sovereign nation for a month, complying with all aspects of statehood. The author of this thesis presents the concepts of ‘nationalism’ and ‘nation’ as key concepts, outlining the theoretical framework for the interpretation of national consciousness of the Slovenes, and the very process of nation-building until the emergence of the first Slovene state in 1918. The focus of the author’s interest is on the various forms of the Slovene national feel, which is presented through the ideologically diverse Slovene print media environment of the State of SHS.
