Abstract
Predstavim razvoj animacije v vzhodnoevropskem prostoru, vključno z zgodovinskim razvojem animacije v Sloveniji. Predstavim potek ustvarjanja praktičnega izdelka ⠒ avtorski animirani video Strahomer. S pripovedjo vse od ideje, scenarija, glasbe oz. zvočne podlage, uporabljenih tehnik animiranja in programov do glavnega in stranskih likov ter njihovih simbolnih pomenov, popeljem skozi celoten potek ustvarjanja videa.

Abstract:
My diploma consists of three parts. In the first two parts, I present the historical development of animation, first presenting the main milestones in the development of animation from a global perspective, as well as the development of animation in Eastern Europe, including Slovenia. In the third, I present my animated video Strahomer. The historical review includes a presentation of animation predecessors, such as optical toys, an overview of milestones or achievements in the development of animation, from the appearance of Felix the Cat, the most important character in American animation before the appearance of Mickey Mouse and the prototype of the animal hero, to the American film and television producer, showman and cartoonist, Walt Disney. I also present the emergence of early television animation and limited animation, the emergence of animated cartoons made exclusively for the medium of television, the Japanese version of anime animation, the emergence of adult animated cartoons to more prominent works of animation in the 1990s. In the second part, I briefly outline the development of animation in Poland, Hungary, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Slovenia. In the third part, I talk about the script for the animated video Strahomer, present the main character and the symbolism of the characters and excerpts from the resulting animated video.
