Abstract
Diplomsko delo je konceptualno raziskovanje združevanja gline in tekstila v umetniški obliki performansa. V prvem delu raziskuje teoretični aspekt performansa, kostumografje in materialnosti gline. Drugi del je pregled praktičnega dela naloge, v katerem je opisan celoten proces izdelave dela. V končnem umetniškem delu, performansu z naslovom “Gibalne vaje”, je kostum, ki je običajno sekundarnega pomena in odgovarja na potrebe zgodbe ter predvidenih gibov, postavljen v ospredje. Namesto podrejene, prevzame aktivno vlogo in narekuje ne le gibanje, temveč gradi celoten performans. Prisotni keramični in glineni rekviziti ne najdejo svoje vrednosti v svoji likovni izraznosti, saj je njihov pomen direktno vezan na performans. To so katalizatorji za slike, ki jih narekujejo in izvzeti iz konteksta performansa izgubijo svoj namen. Uporaba črne barve igra veliko vlogo v dojemanju dela, saj poenoti vse sestavne elemente. V končnem umetniškem delu se združita teoretična plat in praktični del v premišljeno celostno podobo.

Title:Manifestation of Clay and Costume in Performance
Abstract:
The thesis is a conceptual exploration into the possible applications of combining clay and textiles in performance art. Separated into two parts, the frst part deals with the theoretical aspects of performance, clay as a material, and costume design. The fndings in this part are later applied in the development of the outcome with the process recorded and described in the second, practical part of the thesis. The fnal project is a performance piece titled “Gibalne vaje” where the costume takes center stage. While usually of secondary importance, subordinated to the needs of the story and intended movement, here, the costume becomes the driving force, actively dictating the movements and building the whole performance. The ceramic and clay props do not seek their value in their artistic expression because their meaning is directly linked to the performance. They are catalysts for the scenes they dictate and taken out of the context of the performance lose their purpose. The use of black plays a signifcant role in the perception of the work because it unifes all of its elements. The fnal performance combines both the theoretical side and the practical part into a unifed whole.
