Svetila iz porcelanske papirne gline

V diplomskem delu se osredotočam na izdelavo svetila iz porcelana. V začetku opišem zgodovino porcelana, od Daljnega vzhoda do prodora v Evropo. Predstavim, kako sta se oblikovanje in dekoracija spreminjala in oblikovala skozi stoletja. V nadaljevanju podam tehnične podatke materiala. Opišem ključne sestavine porcelana in postopek izdelave ter načine oblikovanja. V delu raziskujem teorijo svetlobe, ambientalno svetlobo in kako ta vpliva na človeka. Opisana je tudi kratka zgodovina svetil. V praktičnem delu izdelam svečnik za čajno svečko z rastlinskimi in živalskimi motivi Cerkniškega jezera. Opišem postopek izdelave od ideje do končnega izdelka ter naredim lasten papirni porcelan.

• Title: Porcelain paperclay lamps

Abstract

The main focus of my BA thesis is designing porcelain lamp. In the beginning I describe the history of porcelain, how it all began in the Far East and continued to Europe. I write about how the design and decorations have changed and shaped over the centuries. I continue with technical data of the material. I describe the key components of porcelain, how it is made and how to work with it. I am researching the theory of light, ambient light and how it affects us. A brief history of light is also described. In the practical part I design a tealight holder with plants and animal motifs of Lake Cerknica. I describe the process, from idea to the final product, using my own paper clay porcelain.
