The content of this thesis is based on the work of Miloš Mikeln Veliki voz. In this work, I rely on the author's view, as well as on the scientific literature dealing with the First and Second World War. I will present the content of the novel, draw biographical parallels, compare the actual war situation on the territory of Slovenia and how the writer described it. I will also make a brief description of three important characters who appear in the novel: Franjo Malgaj, Anton Korošec and Boris Kidrič.
