Abstract
Dobri voditelji imajo sposobnost komunikacije in motiviranja, čustveno inteligenco in še nekatere ostale lastnosti, medtem ko slabim voditeljem teh lastnosti pogosto primanjkuje.

Title:The importance of leadership for officers in modern armed forces
Abstract:
Despite many different definitions of leadership, its importance to people in leadership positions cannot be denied. Leaders are very different in personality traits, habits and abilities, so we know both good and bad leaders. Good leaders have the ability to communicate and motivate, emotional intelligence and some other qualities, while bad leaders often lack these. For a long time, there was a belief that good leaders were born, but research in the field of heritability has shown that this is not actually the case. In the context of the armed forces, leadership has been present practically throughout the entirety of military history, and good military leaders are among the most famous historical figures. Guidelines for successful military leadership are best written in the principles of military leadership, which shed light on the key qualities of good military leaders. Leadership skills required for successful leadership at different levels of warfare differ slightly from each other. Although the personality traits of good leaders are the same at the strategic as well as at the operational and tactical level, soft skills and the ability to think strategically are most important for successful leadership at the strategic level, operational thinking and vision at the operational level, and competence, communication, resilience and ethics at the tactical level. Good leaders can only be created by developing their abilities. This happens both systematically, as well as with everyday situations.
