Abstract

Title:Laser texturing of tooling surfaces
Abstract:
In the automotive and aviation industries, it is of great importance to minimise the weight of products, to reduce fuel consumption and emissions into the environment. The combination of different materials (metals – glass fibres) allows for a significant reduction in the weight of the products, but here challenges arise with the joining of materials. With adhesion bonding of different materials, it is important to ensure adequate roughness of surfaces preparation with laser pulses that allow for greater adhesion of the glue and thus the strength of the joint. When cutting dry with singlepoint tools, the aim is to extend the life of the tool and reduce the adhesion of the chips on the tool surface. The diploma work provides a literature review, which presents the results for merging with three processes (thermal compression, ultrasonic joining and spraying joining). An appropriate form of engravings for extending the life of one point cutting tools is also presented. It turns out that it is appropriate to merge with thermal compression and by spraying plastic.
