In this thesis, we aimed to evaluate a certain polymer as the main construction material of statically loaded structures, while also taking into account the viscoelastic properties, which are strongly exhibited by polymers. In addition to viscoelasticity, the thesis will also consider the influence of the environment and how it affects the stress-strain state of a beam. The results of analytical calculations were supported by numerical simulations and the use of polymers as a construction material was evaluated.
