Abstract

Title:Perception of stress of employees in different life periods
Abstract:
The thesis deals with the perception of employee stress at different stages of life. A person goes through different periods of his life, so the perception of stress is different, which is also helped by employment, where he performs work and realizes his life ambitions. Stress represents a normal response of an individual when his balance is temporarily disturbed due to internal or external influences. We know different types of stress, namely positive and negative, natural and artificial, physiological and psychological, and normal or chronic stress. All types of stress differ from each other depending on whether they have a positive or negative effect on the individual and depending on the consequences of the type of stress on the individual and the organization where he is employed. Work-related stress is a challenge for the individual and for the work organization. Recognizing stress in employees gives priority to management and the competent human resources department in organizations, as they can react to it in a timely manner with various stress prevention activities. Experiencing stress varies between life stages. A young man who has just gotten a job will react differently to stress than an employed person who has already reached the peak of his career. The research on the topic of the diploma thesis was conducted through an online survey. The results of the research show that employees between the ages of 25 and 35 are more prone to stress, as this is the life span for which respondents are of the opinion that the individual is most exposed to stress. The usefulness of the research is reflected in the fact that the management of both the public and private sectors use the results of the research in designing proposals for the prevention of stress in the work environment.
