Abstract
Na delovnem mestu svetovalnega delavca so zaposleni strokovni delavci, ki so psihologi, pedagogi, socialni delavci, socialni pedagogi in defektologi. V magistrskem delu me je zanimala vloga socialne delavke. Svetovalne delavke dobro opredelijo svojo vlogo, delujejo z empatijo in za delo potrebujejo veliko strokovnega znanja. Svetovalne delavke vidijo veliko posebnih prispevkov socialnega dela k delu svetovalne službe vrtca.

Title:The role of a social worker in the counseling service of a kindergarten
Abstract:
The master thesis refers to the counseling service of the kindergarten. In the position of the counselor work professionals who are psychologists, educators, social workers, social educators and special educators. In my master thesis I was interested in the role of the social worker. In the theoretical introduction, I defined the counseling work in the kindergarten, social work within the counseling service of the kindergarten and developmental psychological theories that are important for understanding the development of a child. In my research, I relied on the Program Guidelines of the Kindergarten Counseling Service. I was interested in the role of a social worker in the basic areas of work in the kindergarten, what are the benefits of the social worker's contribution to the kindergarten counseling service, and what are their shortcomings and obstacles in their work. In addition to the social workers, I also interviewed parents to get important information about their perspective regarding the successful ways of working of the guidance service and what else they would like to see from their cooperation. I found that the counseling work in the kindergarten is indeed based on program guidelines and covers a broad field of work. Counselors know how to define their role well, work with empathy and need a lot of expertise for their work. The counselors see many special contributions of social work to the work of kindergarten counseling.
