Abstract
Zadnji del opisuje ustanovitev Instituta »Jožef Stefan«, njegovo organizacijo v prvih letih in načrtovanje gradnje testnega reaktorja ter o usposabljanju osebja. Najbolj očitni rezultati Jugoslovanskega jedrskega programa so vidni še danes.

Title:Yugoslavian nuclear programme and building of school reactor at »Jožef Stefan« Institute in Podgorica
Abstract:
Graduation thesis describes the founding and development of Yugoslavian nuclear programme from the end of 1940s to the end of 1980s and the establishment of »Jožef Stefan« Institute and planning and construction of the educational reactor TRIGA in Podgorica. First from the point of view of different eras, from its beginnings in the late 1940s and early 1950s with the founding of the institutes and organisation of the programme itself, to its middle phase in 1950s and 1960, which is characterised by its rapid and all out search for the uranium ore and the building of nuclear reactors for educational purposes across the country and lastly the third phase after 1971 in which Yugoslavia was heavily depending on its cooperation with India. In addition to that, the overview is divided into civil and army part. In the last chapter the focus is on »Jožef Stefan« Institute. It talks about its founding and organisation in its first years as well as about planning and building the reactor for educational purposes and training its staff. The most obvious results of the programme can be still seen today. A huge mark is most apparent in the civilian part of the programme with the construction of the JE Krško and in production of various radioactive isotopes used in medicine and industry. The results of the army side of the programme are quite different and are negligible despite huge efforts and investments in it from the Government’s side. The goal that Yugoslavia would possess nuclear weapons and would thus become an independent nuclear power amidst the cold war blocs remained unfulfilled.
