The language of a manuscript about Jesus' life and suffering from the year 1807 is presented in this Master's thesis. The already mentioned text consists of three separate parts: 1) Jesus' life, 2) a short meditation on the Four Last Things and 3) Jesus' suffering, i.e. the passion. The language analysis is based on the discussion of the written system of the manuscript (concretely – the alphabet and the orthography) and its phonological, morphological and lexicological levels. We particularly bring a lot of attention to the expected language inconsistency or its variability, which was also the main principle for the establishment of our hypotheses and the methods of our work. Therefore, the majority of this thesis mostly focuses on the (in)consistency within the written system and the possible variations (doublets) at the phonological and morphological level. The paper also takes the noticeable variability on the lexicological level into account.
