Abstract
V diplomskem delu spregovorimo o lutki in lutkovni umetnosti, o njeni vlogi in pomenu za otroka v predšolskem obdobju. Osredotočimo se na osnovni namen lutke ter na njeno oživitev, moč, ki jo ima, in na kratko predstavimo tehnike lutk, od tistih iz gledališč do povsem preprostih, takih, ki jih lahko izdelajo tudi otroci. Izpostavimo vzgojiteljevo zavedanje moči lutke, ki je pomembna pri njeni oživitvi, in igro z lutko, ki izhaja iz otrokove notranje potrebe. V nadaljevanju predstavimo lutko v vzgojno-izobraževalnem procesu in navedemo načine vključevanja lutke v skupino. Njena prisotnost močno vpliva na vsakega otroka in celotno vzdušje v skupini. Predstavimo odnos med otrokom in lutko ter otrokom in vzgojiteljem, ki lutko oživi ter prednosti vključevanja lutke v različne dele dnevne rutine. V osrednjem delu pozornost namenimo vplivu lutke na otrokov razvoj na različnih področjih, s konkretnimi primeri prikažemo, na kakšen način se to odraža. Na koncu teoretičnega dela predstavimo lutkovno umetnost in lutkovno gledališče v odnosu z vrtcem, na kaj morajo biti strokovni delavci pozorni pri izbiri predstave, kako otroke pripraviti na obisk lutkovnega gledališča in kaj sledi po ogledu. V empiričnem delu prikažemo odgovore dveh intervjujev umetniških vodij lutkovnega gledališča, ki obiskovanje gledališča predstavita kot pomemben del otroštva in bralca seznanita z različnimi možnostmi sodelovanja med gledališčem in vrtcem. Ena izmed možnosti so pedagoška gradiva, ki smo jih analizirali in ugotovitve predstavljamo v empiričnem delu diplomskega dela.

Title:
Use of the puppet in kindergarten and the importance of the puppet theatre for preschool children
Abstract:
The diploma thesis deals with the field of puppet theatre and puppets and their role and meaning for the preschool children. We focus on the puppet’s primary aim and on its revival, the power it possesses; and we briefly present the puppetry techniques: from those puppets present in theatres to the very simple ones like those the children can make. We stress the importance of the preschool teacher’s awareness of the puppet’s power – how they can affect its revival – and the importance of the child’s play with the puppet which originates from the child’s internal need. In the subsequent chapters we present the puppet in the educational process and we list the possibilities of how the puppet can be integrated in the group’s routine. The presence of the puppet has a strong effect on each child in the group and on the atmosphere in it. We present the relationship between the child and the puppet and the child and the teacher who revives the puppet; and the benefits of the puppet’s integration in the different parts of the daily routine. In the central part of the thesis we focus on the puppet’s effect on the child’s development in different fields and we list some specific examples of it. At the end of the theoretical part of the thesis we present the puppetry and the puppet theatre in relations with the kindergarten, what the teachers need to be careful about when choosing a puppet show, how to prepare children before visiting the puppet theatre and what happens after the show. In the empirical part of the thesis we present the interviews we conducted with the two artistic directors of the puppet theatres; they state that visiting the puppet theatre is a very important part of the childhood and present different options for the collaboration between the theatre and the kindergarten. One of these options is the pedagogical material which we analysed and we present the findings in the empirical part of the thesis.
