Abstract
Magistrsko delo analizira vpliv intermodalnih terminalov na družbeni in ekonomski razvoj območja okoli določenega terminala. Opisuje, kaj so intermodalni terminali, kako prispevajo k prihodnjemu razvoju in kakšen pomen imajo za razvoj celotnega gospodarstva. Predstavljeni so izbrani intermodalni terminali v Evropi.

Title:INTERMODAL TERMINALS IN EUROPE AS A FACTOR IN DEVELOPMENT
Abstract:
The master's thesis presents the impact of intermodal terminals on the social, economic and social development of the area around a particular terminal. It describes what intermodal terminals are, how they contribute to future development and what importance they have for the development of the whole economy. Selected intermodal terminals in Europe are presented. It describes why they were created in these locations, why they achieved their growth and success, how these terminals affected the growth of the environmental economy, infrastructure development and the course of entire logistics chains. The following is a study on the case of Slovenia. Based on the research, I found out how or. In general, the construction and operation of an intermodal terminal in Slovenia would be successful, which location would be the most suitable if the used terminal were needed at all. Using SWOT analysis, I presented the identified advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and dangers for Slovenia in the event that the intermodal terminal will not be built in a more important place in Slovenia in the case of positive decisions. A multi-criteria analysis has also been made for selected locations, which will further confirm which location is most appropriate. The main problems in transporting cars are injuries, if they occur. The most frequent injuries occur during loading or unloading cars, furing manipulation with vehicles. There are also described the actions taken in the case of injuries, the procedure for the elimination of injuries and, most importantly, how to find out to the responsible person for the damage incurred and the manner of reimbursement of costs for it.
