The guarantees for the survival of literary history in the digital future are: the digitalisation of the literary heritage, online access to new literary works and publications on literary studies, and student involvement with infrastructural work in the field involving shared authorship in Wikipedia, Wikivir and similar websites that operate under a creative commons licence. The literary history of the future will be more public, more international and interdisciplinary, while the ideal of fictionality, which demands literary-historical synthesis, will be replaced by databases and tools for their use.
