Abstract
Ta naloga se ukvarja s primerjavo različnih proizvodnih procesov za dve pomembni komponenti dirkalnika Formula Student z vidika stroškov izdelave za primera prototipne izdelave in masovne proizvodne. V nalogi je prikazana izbira različnih izdelovalnih procesov za posamezen kos in izračun stroškov za posamezno metodo pri različnem številu izdelanih kosov. Za vsak kos je bila nato določena točka preloma in podana utemeljitve kdaj se splača uporabiti kateri proces. Časi izdelav so bili simulirani, analitično izračunani ali predpostavljeni iz praktičnega primera. Za planetno gonilo smo ugotovili, da je za prototipno proizvodnjo najbolj primerna izbira CNC odrezavanja in za masovno proizvodnjo kombinacija CNC odrezavnja in litja v pesek. Za šasijo pa je za prototipno proizvodnjo optimalno delati s steklenimi vlakni in brez toplotnih obdelav, za masovno proizvodnjo pa je prava izbira izdelava aluminijastega kalupa.

Comparison of different manufacturing processes for chassis and planetary gear of Formula Student
Abstract:
This thesis is all about comparing different manufacturing methods for two important components of Formula Student race car from the perspective of cost. Different methods are compared in terms of costs at different scale of production. This work presents possible manufacturing processes for each component and the cost calculation for each process. Possible production methods were chosen for each component and costs at different production scale was calculated. Manufacturing times were either simulated, analytically calculated or taken from practical case. For the prototype manufacturing of the gearbox most cost-effective method is CNC machining but for mass production the mix of CNC machining and casting is more cost effective. For production of composite chassis on smaller scale the most cost-effective production method is the one without any heat treatment and using fiberglass for the molds but for mass production aluminium mold is more cost-effective.
