Abstract
Izvedene so bile meritve prostornine in gostote na petih različnih trdnih telesih v laboratoriju podjetja LOTRIČ Meroslovje d.o.o.

Title:Volume and density measurements of objects by hydrostatic weighing method
Abstract:
An accurate procedure of measuring a volume of a solid object is hydrostatic weighing in a liquid while knowing its mass. In this work the focus is on weighing in the liquid while the conventional mass of the object was determined by an accredited procedure in advance. As the reference liquid demineralized water is used. Its density is determined by measuring its temperature. From volume and mass of the object it is further possible to calculate the density of the object. In the calculation, many corrections which are consequences of non-ideal measuring conditions are taken into account. Measurement uncertainty is analysed based on the individual contribution evaluation. Volume and density measurements were performed on five different solid objects in the laboratory of LOTRIČ Meroslovje d.o.o. company.
