Abstract
V programskem orodju Design Builder smo spreminjali parametra, načrtovano stopnjo prezračevanja in delež efektivne odprtine.

Title:Intensive natural ventilation as a cooling reduction design strategy in buildings : master thesis
Abstract:
Natural ventilation and air are passive mediums with the cheapest and most environmentally friendly cooling solution, as they do not require any or relatively little energy to operate. Therefore, despite all the available mechanical systems, we are returning to the original cooling strategies, such as natural ventilation. In the thesis, we determined whether we can reduce the use of energy for cooling with natural ventilation and at the same time provide adequate thermal comfort. For the analysis, we chose two different offices, to which we assigned the characteristic properties of the building envelope and transparent surfaces according to the Tehnična smernica TSG-1-004: 2010. Two different types of natural ventilation were analyzed, single-sided and cross ventilation, in three time periods during the day, night, day and all - day. In the Design Builder software, we changed two parameters, the proposed rate of ventilation and the proportion of the effective opening. With single-sided and cross ventilation, all-day ventilation is the most effective in reducing cooling energy consumption, followed by night and then day ventilation. On average, a reduction of at least 50% in the energy consumption for cooling is achieved already at the ventilation rate n = 2 h-1 for all-day and night ventilation and at the ventilation rate n = 5 h-1 for day ventilation. Such a reduction in energy consumption for cooling is achieved with effective openings of 5% and 10%. Even small rates of ventilation and effective openings have a significant effect on reducing energy consumption for cooling and eliminating high operative temperatures.
