Abstract

Title:Trust in administrative procedure on eGovernment
Abstract:
eGovernment is an electronic portal through which administrative bodies and other institutions offer their services via the Internet. The portal is designed to include operations within public administration organizations, between the administration and citizens, and between the administration and companies. This allows citizens to access services easily, anywhere at any time. Citizens can go through many administrative procedures and view their personal data without physical contact with an official, thus saving time by avoiding queues at administrative units. The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis is to find the reason why citizens still use mainly personal / physical contact with officials and refuse e-commerce. It focuses mainly on the distrust of citizens in administrative procedures on the eGovernment portal and on the reason for non-use or distrust of the technology offered. The first part of the bachelor’s thesis summarizes the theory of ensuring security in eGovernment and obtaining data from registers and finally, the implementation of administrative procedures through the portal. In the research part, the results were obtained on the basis of a questionnaire. The questionnaire included questions on awareness and use of eGovernment. Despite the advantages that eGovernment brings, the findings of the research show that the majority of respondents do not have a regulated digital certificate, which makes it impossible to use the portal. There are quite a few reasons for this, and one of the main ones is certainly the poor technological literacy of the citizens of the Republic of Slovenia. This problem could be solved with workshops targeted toward elderly population, that was bias against usage of technology and digitalization. People should also be explained how about online applications manage security and educate them about safe internet usage.
