Abstract
V nalogi so predstavljene osnove granulacije ter podrobneje je predstavljen sam postopek granuliranja. Obstoječo laboratorijsko diskovno granulirno napravo smo dodelali ter nadgradili po priporočilih iz virov literature, ki glede na izbrani material za granuliranje zajema sledeče parametre, kot so: naklon diska, vrtilna frekvenca diska, masni tok (kapaciteta) laboratorijske naprave, dinamični naklon nasutja, masni pretok vode, lokacija strgala, lokacija dovoda materiala in lokacija šobe za škropljenje vode. Z nadgrajeno laboratorijsko napravo smo izvedli meritve različnih kombinacij treh izbranih materialov (apno, mulj in gips). Iz izvedenih preizkusov smo ugotavljali ustreznost izbrane kombinacije materiala tako za suho kot mokro granuliranje. Rezultati meritev so pokazali, da imata bistven vpliv na obliko (okrogla, podolgovata, jajčasta) granul vstopna vlažnost in geometrija materiala (mulj). Iz tega je sledilo, da nastavitev naklona diska vpliva le na kapaciteto, medtem ko vrtilna frekvenca diska vpliva na velikosti granul, ne pa tudi na obliko granul.

Title:Laboratory disc granulation device upgrade
Abstract:
The paper deals with the rudiments of granulation, explicating the process per se. An operational laboratory disc granulator was improved and upgraded according to recommendations from literature. Depending on the substance to be granulated, this includes parameters such as disc inclination, rotational frequency, the mass flow rate (capacity) of the laboratory device, the dynamic angle of repose, the mass flow rate of water, the position of the scraper, the position of the feeder, and the position of the spray nozzle. Using the upgraded device, measurements were made for various combinations of three chosen substances (lime, sludge, and plaster). Based on the experiments carried out, suitability for both dry and wet granulation was considered for each combination. The measurements showed that the shape of the granules (spherical, elliptic, oval) is essentially determined by the humidity and geometry of the feed (sludge). Accordingly, the disc inclination only affects the capacity, while the rotational frequency of the disc affects the size of the granules but not their shape.
