Abstract

Title:Production planning of turned parts
Abstract:
This thesis focuses on production planning which is one of the most important process to maintan well ordered and quality operations of any company which is engaged to the production of turning parts. The company in which we performed the master's thesis includes the production of small turned parts fot the domestic and foreign markets, for which CNC technology is used. The products are made in one-phase procedure, that is why planning production for smaller quantities is relatively easy. Recently the number of orders has increased which has led the company to face the problem of managing delivery times for agreed orders. According to the problems above, our first task was to analyse the already existing method of production planning for turning parts and to find the reasons of the occurrence of waste. There has been designed also a system for planning the availabilty and occupancy of capacities, with the classification of work orders according to the rule of the earliest deadline to completion.

Keywords:production planning, material requirements planning, capacity availability, CNC technology, rule of scheduling
