Abstract

Title:Development of helicopter instrument landing system and procedures
Abstract:
This diploma thesis presents local and global navigation systems in relation with aviation. A detailed mathematical model is described, which enables global navigation systems to determine the position on Earth, based on code or phase observations. We also use a local navigation system with the support of RTK GPS to enable instrumental landing for helicopters in reduced visibility. The paper also describes mathematical equations of the mentioned local navigation system. In the end we present use procedures for our instrument helicopter landing system.

Keywords:helicopters, navigation, differential GPS, instrument landing system, procedures for instrument landings
