This thesis focuses on a guitar effect pedal design, controlled by a microcontroller, which is based on three traditional guitar effect pedals. Those three are »overdrive« effect »Tube Screamer« and two »distortion« effects »Fuzz Face« and »Jubilee«.
We concluded, that controlling analog guitar effects with a microcontroller is benefitial, because, by saving settings into different presets, we are able to substitute more than one pedal of same type with our prototype. In our case, our prototype has three presets, but with a simple program extension, we can program even more presets into our effects pedal.
By connecting a microcontroller with three analog guitar pedals, we have merged the sound of classic analog guitar pedals with the simplicity of controlling digital circuits.
