Abstract
Preučeval sem predvsem stališča, mnenja in odločitve pomembnih političnih oseb in vojakov vpletenih držav, in sicer ZDA, Demokratične republike Vietnam in Republike Vietnam. Delo temelji na primarnih virih in v prvem delu predstavlja povzetek razvoja in odvijanja konflikta v Vietnamu, opredeljuje etične koncepte in oriše versko dogajanje v Vietnamu.

Title:Ethical Dilemmas and Religion During the Vietnam War
Abstract:
The master's thesis focuses on ethical dilemmas and religion during the Vietnam War. I mainly studied the standpoints, opinions, and decisions of important political figures and soldiers of the countries involved, namely the United States of America, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, and the Republic of Vietnam. The thesis is based on primary sources and the first part includes a recap of the development and unfolding of the conflict in Vietnam, defines ethical concepts and outlines religions in Vietnam. The following chapters go more into detail about the individual ethical dilemmas faced by the politicians and soldiers while decision-making, and the impact of religion on the course of events and religious elements, confronted by the American and the Vietnamese soldiers. The thesis also shows the view of Pope Paul VI. on the Vietnam War, who, despite its religious function, represents an important political figure and voice of reason in a divided world.
