In my thesis titled Furniture design of a veterinary clinic's waiting room I am concerning myself with the issues of animal stress, which is often present before the arrival at the clinic, be it because of previous bad experiences, lingering illnesses or injuries, how it affects the animal in question and how to lower it – and whether it affects the owner and how to make the work easier for the staff of the clinic? Through research, existing studies, interviews and observations, I am trying to understand the wishes of animals and people and apply this knowledge to a product, which would improve the current status of the waiting room, the process of the visit alone and with this the wellbeing of all involved individuals.
