Abstract
Preko izbrane osi pilotne stene je mogoča avtomatska umestitev same pilotne stene in spremljajočih gradbenih elementov v 3D BIM model, kar omogoča nadaljnje nadgradnje z uporabo BIM tehnologije.

Title:Development of tools for integrated parametric design of pile walls using BIM technology
Abstract:
As part of our master's thesis, we developed a tool for integrated parametric design of pile walls using BIM technology in AutoCAD-Civil 3D environment. The tool aims to improve the efficiency of the design process, especially in the procedures concerning the placement of pre-defined pile walls in space, data preparation for BIM models and desing documentation. The tool offers to designer a choice of different types of pile walls, consisting of characteristic elements - building blocks. Each individual building block can be parametrically defined and then automatically generated to form a 3D model of the pile wall. In addition, typical characteristic attributes are automatically attributed to the building elements, which together with the attribute values form a BIM 3D model. The input parameters of the pile walls and the associated building elements are defined on the basis of the previously performed computational analyzes for individual design solutions. Through the selected axis of the pile wall, it is possible to automatically place the pile wall itself and the accompanying building elements in the 3D BIM model, which allows further upgrades using BIM technology. The master's thesis presents in detail the development of software tools. The concrete example shows the benefits of the parametric approach in the design of pile walls with an emphasis on time savings, while the elimination of the possibility of errors ensures the quality of project documentation and a BIM model, which is formed in the same time.
