Abstract
Delo najprej predstavi značilnosti same stresne situacije.

Title:Experiencing guilt, compassion and self-forgiveness in dealing with stressful situations in healthcare professionals
Abstract:
In the present master's thesis, the author examines the inner experience of guilt, compassion and self-forgiveness in the face of stressful situations in health professionals. The work first presents the characteristics of stressful situations. In the following, the author also touches on mental disorders caused by stress. This is followed by a presentation of emotional processes of guilt, compassion and self-forgiveness, applied to the work of health professionals. In the empirical part, the author explored the experience of guilt, compassion and self-forgiveness in the participating health professionals in the face of stressful situations. As a research methodology, the phenomenological approach was used. The data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with four participating health professionals employed in one of the Slovenian hospitals. The results show that health professionals in stressful situations face feelings of guilt, from which they find their way to compassion and self-forgiveness, each in their most familiar way. In addition to guilt, helplessness also occurs because they are unable to save every life, alleviate every pain, and solve problems for which the system is responsible. The results of the master's thesis can help all healthcare workes who find themselves in a stressful situation, as well as the professional public to create forms of support for health professionals.
