Bioakumulacija slednih prvin v grmičasti členjači (Sarcocornia fruticosa) na območju Sečoveljskih solin

Abstract
Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti mineralno in geokemično sestavo vzorcev sedimenta, rizosedimenta in rastline S.fruticosa na območju Sečoveljskih solin. V lokalnih rastlinah S. fruticose smo analizirli bioakumulacijo težkih kovin. Nadalje sem izračunal tudi bioakumulacijski faktor (BCF) za težke kovine v raziskovani rastlini. Mineralno sestavo smo določili z rentgensko praškovno difrakcijo metodo, medtem ko smo geokemično sestavo določili z rentgensko fluorescenco (XRF). Z Visoko resolucijska masna spektrometrija z induktivno sklopljeno plazmo (HR-ICPMS) metodo smo določili vsebnosti težkih kovin v rastlini S. fruticosa (v vejicah in mladih vršičkih). Rezultati geokemijskih analiz so pokazali nekoliko višje vrednosti obravnavanih težkih kovin (As, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb in Zn) v okoliškem sedimentu (pod rizosedimentom) in rizosedimentih, kot v ostalih nadzemeljskih delih rastlin (vršički in vejice). Večina težkih kovin se akumulira v korenine, od koder se naprej translocirajo v višje dele rastlin. Najvišji BCF faktor sem izračunal za Cd, kateremu sledita As in Zn. . Za vse ostale kovine je vrednost BCF faktorja manjša od 1, kar posledično pomeni, da ima rastlina S. fruticosa obenem selektivno in nizko bioakumulacijsko sposobnost.

Title:Bioaccumulation of trace elements in halophytes (Sarcocornia fruticosa) from Sečovlje salina area
Abstract:
The present research sought to determine the mineral and geochemical composition of sediment and rhizosediment samples from the Sečovljske salt pans in Slovenia. Samples from a local halophyte, Sarcocornia fruticose, were tested for their accumulation of heavy metals, than I calculated bioaccumulation factor (BCF) for heavy metals in plants. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) was used to determine the mineral composition of the samples, while X-ray fluorescence (XRF) was used to analyse their oxide and heavy metal content. High Resolution InductivelyCoupled Plasma Mass Spectometry (HR-ICPMS) was used to identify metals in samples of the aerial parts of S. fruticose (stems and buds). Results displayed a slightly higher content of As, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, and Zn in the roots than in above ground plant organs, suggesting that the heavy metals are mostly accumulated in the roots and do not significantly migrate to other regions of the organisms. The highest calculated BCF was for Cd (2), followed by As and Zn. For all other heavy metals measured, the BCF was smaller than 1, meaning that S. fruticose has a small mobility potential and low bioaccumulation capability for these substances, making it an unlikely candidate for bioaccumulation.
