For vehicle testing in Slovenia, there exist a special pair of license plates. For each test drive, the company who owns the license plates must fill out a form. In case of using the same vehicle multiple times, out of 13 input fields, we fill out 10 with the same information.
I noticed that these registration plates are often used without properly filled out forms. Also often the mandatory history of forms is not kept for the last two years.
Without a correctly filled out form, the vehicle is not registred on the road, and mandatory insurance doesn't apply.
Mostly users are not filling out forms because of the additional work, as every test drive requires a new form.
In the thesis I explain the process from an idea to the final product of an application in Visual C# for automating the process.
The user first enters the desired vehicles with appropriate VIN numbers, and only the first time inputs the company details. Correct data is projected on to a scan of the form, and the current date and additional formatting is added. Final image of the form is sent to the printer, and a copy is saved in the background. After printing the last thing that needs to be done is adding a company stamp for a valid form.
