Abstract
Ta jekla vsebujejo legirne elemente, saj z dodatkom le-teh dosežemo oziroma lažje dosežemo želene mehanske in druge lastnosti.

Title:Analysis of eroded surfaces and their effect on laser welding
Abstract:
Different tool steels are used for different jobs throughout the industry. We know tool steels for cold working and for forming plastics and tool steels for hot working. These steels contain many alloying elements, because with the addition of these we achieve or more easily achieve the required quality and mechanical properties. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the integrity of variously eroded and laser remelted surfaces of tool steel for hot work. Tools made of tool steel for hot work are used in industry, where plastic is die-cast and car lights are made from it. After a certain number of cycles, the surface of the plastic die casting tool cracks and the tool is no longer suitable for use. Tool repair is performed by electroerosion process and laser remelting or by laser surfacing. When treating the surface with a laser beam, however, surface cracks occur. The surfaces of the eroded and laser remelted samples we analyzed were similar, the only difference being that two surfaces in electroerosion were treated with two different parameters, and the third surface was only remelted with a laser beam. Upon further remelting with a laser beam, we found that cracks formed on and below the eroded surface of the samples after remelting. No cracks were detected in the sample, which was remelted only with a laser beam.
