Vpliv bipedalizma na razvoj človeka

Abstract
Glavni cilj diplomskega dela je predstaviti, kako je bipedalizem vplival na razvoj človeka. Bipedalizem je način gibanja po zadnjih dveh nogah. Šimpanzi, kot tudi druge opice, ga uporabljajo za določeno opravilo, na primer za nabiranje hrane iz višje veje ali za nošnjo stvari v rokah, slednje imenujemo fakultativni bipedalizem. Medtem ko ga ljudje uporabljajo kot način premikanja. V tem primeru govorimo o habitualnem oz. obligacijskem bipedalizmu. Mnogi zgodnji hominini (izraz za človeško linijo od razcepa človeka in človeku podobnih opic) že kažejo prve znake prilagoditev na bipedalno hojo v kombinaciji z ohranjenimi primitivnimi lastnostmi, ki so jim omogočale, da so še vedno lahko plezali po drevesih. Zaradi prilagajanja na bipedalizem so hominini spreminjali svojo anatomijo, ki bi jim pomagala olajšati hojo. To nam poda sliko o njihovem razvoju in nam pomaga definirati različne vrste med njimi. Razlogi zakaj so se hominini z dreves prestavili na tla in razvili bipedalizem so zelo kompleksni, zato se bom v diplomi posvetila možnim hipotezam za njegov razvoj. Pojasnila bom nove pridobitve zaradi njega (razvoj tehnike lova z vzdržljivostnim tekom, razvoj jezika in kognitivnih sposobnosti, ki so omogočile razvoj kulture in umetnosti), v nadaljevanju bom pobližje pogledala rod avstralopitekov, za katere je mišljeno, da so predstavljali prve predstavnike bipedov in omenila odtis stopinj v vulkanskem pepelu v Laetoliju. Nato bom opisala, kako je hoja po dveh nogah vplivala na razvoj morfologije pri človeku in kako se ta razlikuje od šimpanzove. Kljub mnogim študijam in raziskavam na temo bipedalizma, ostaja še veliko nejasnosti in neodgovorjenih vprašanj, ki nudijo nadaljno preučevanje te teme.

Title:The influence of bipedalism on the development of humans
Abstract:
The main goal of the thesis is to present how bipedalism has affected human evolution. Bipedalism is a form of moving on hind legs. Chimpanzees, as well as other apes, use it for specific tasks, such as gathering food from a higher branch or carrying things in their hands. This is called optional bipedalism. On the other hand, people use bipedalism as their main form of movement. In this case we are talking about habitual or obligatory bipedalism. Many early hominin remains show early signs of adaptations to bipedal walking combined with preserved primitive traits that allowed them to still be able to climb trees. Because of their adaptation to bipedalism, hominins changed their anatomy to help ease walking. This provides us with a clear picture of their evolution and helps us define different species among them. The reasons why hominins moved from trees to the ground and developed bipedalism are very complex, so in my thesis I will focus on possible hypotheses for its development. I will explain the developmental changes in the human anatomy due to it (development of endurance hunting techniques, development of language and cognitive abilities that enabled the development of culture and art), I will take a closer look at the genus Australopithecus thought to represent the first representatives of bipeds and mention the footprints in volcanic ash in Laetoli. I will then describe how walking on two legs affected the development of human morphology and how it differs from that of a chimpanzee. Despite many studies and research on the topic of bipedalism, there are still many ambiguities and unanswered questions that provide us with the opportunity for supplementary studies in this topic.
