Abstract
Uvod: Za obdobje dojenčka je z večanjem njegove mobilnosti značilna tudi večja izpostavljenost nevarnostim v okolju, kar poveča tveganje za nastanek poškodb. Padci, opekline, zastrupitve, zaužiti ali vstavljeni tujki in poškodbe z gibljivimi predmeti so najpogostejši vzroki poškodb do 1. leta starosti. Namen: Namen diplomskega dela je izpostaviti pomen znanja o prvi pomoči pri dojenčku med mladimi starši. Cilji so bili (1) ugotoviti, kakšna je samoocena znanja prve pomoči mladih staršev, (2) ugotoviti, kakšna je raven teoretičnega znanja izbranih ukrepov prve pomoči pri dojenčku, (3) kakšna je motiviranost mladih staršev za usposabljanje iz prve pomoči pri dojenčku ter (4) ugotoviti, kakšne so njihove izkušnje z izvajanjem ukrepov prve pomoči pri dojenčku. Metode dela: Uporabljena je bila deskriptivna metoda dela s pregledom domače in tuje strokovne in znanstvene literature. Uporabljene so bile spletne podatkovne baze PubMed, ScienceDirect, DiKUL, COBISS. V empiričnem delu je bila uporabljena kavzalno-neeksperimentalna metoda dela z metodo spletnega anketiranja. Instrument za raziskovanje je bil anketni vprašalnik, ki je bil sestavljen na osnovi kritičnega pregleda literature in zastavljenih raziskovalnih vprašanj. Za zbiranje podatkov in njihovo statistično obdelavo je bila uporabljena odprtokodna aplikacija za spletno anketiranje 1ka. Rezultati: 40 % anketirancev je na splošno svoje znanje prve pomoči pri dojenčku ocenilo z oceno 3 (dobro), le 7 % jih je svoje znanje ocenilo s 5 (odlično). Od vseh anketirancev jih je le 11 % že nudilo prvo pomoč dojenčku. Največ anketirancev je znanje s področja prve pomoči pri dojenčku pridobilo v času šolanja ter na tečaju za voznike motornih vozil. Največji delež anketirancev bi se udeležilo tečaja prve pomoči za dojenčka, če bi bil ta organiziran v njihovem kraju. Razprava in zaključek: Večina mladih staršev je mnenja, da bi morali v okviru šole za starše poučevati tudi prvo pomoč za dojenčke in so hkrati zelo motivirani za pridobivanje znanja prve pomoči v prihodnje. Starši se morajo zavedati, da so pomanjkanje znanja, ozaveščenosti in pomanjkanje nadzora nad otrokom glavni razlogi za pojav poškodb v obdobju dojenčka. Prav zaradi tega morajo starši v primeru nezgode imeti dovolj znanja o ukrepih prve pomoči, saj bodo le tako ostali mirni, suvereni in znali ustrezno ukrepati.

Title:The knowledge of emergency first aid actions with a baby among new parents : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: The period of the baby's increase in mobility is also characterized by greater exposure to environmental hazards, which increases the risk of injury. Falling down, burns, poisoning, ingested or inserted foreign objects and injuries with movable objects are the main cause of injury up to one year of age. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to highlight the importance of knowing first aid for the baby among young parents. We aimed to (1) find out the level of self-evaluation of first aid knowledge for a baby among young parents, (2) find out the level of theoretical knowledge of selected first aid measures for a baby, (3) what is the motivation of young parents to pursue first aid training for a baby and (4) find out their experience with administering first aid measures for a baby. Methods: A descriptive method with an overview of domestic and foreign professional and scientific literature was used. The PubMed, ScienceDirect, DiKUL and COBISS online data bases were used. In the empirical part, the causal-non-experimental method of working with the method of online survey was used. The instrument of research was a survey questionnaire, devised on the basis of critical overview of the literature and posed research questions. For data collection and their statistical processing an open-sourced application for online surveys 1ka was used. Results: 40 % of all respondents have assessed their knowledge of first aid as 3 (good), only 7 % have assessed it as 5 (great). Out of all respondents only 11 % have already administered first aid to a baby. The majority of respondents have acquired their knowledge on baby first aid during their schooling and motor vehicle course. The largest part of respondents would attend a first aid course for babies if one would be organized in their hometown. Discussion and conclusion: The majority of young parents believe that schools for parents should include first aid for babies and are especially motivated to train in first aid in the future. The parents need to realize that lack of knowledge, awareness and lack of child supervision are the main reasons for injuries during the baby period. It is because of this that in case of an accident the parents should have ample knowledge on first aid measures, since this means calmer, selfsupporting and appropriate measures.
