In my graduation assigment I will focus on safety locking systems for urban and other bikes,
with a focus on the pedal and modularity of a pedal for bike locking. In the task I will take the
theme of creating a new product, sustainable development and bussines plan.
Today's cities are cemeteries for stolen bicycles. These problems would be dealt with in a new,
unique and design approach and find a non-existent solution. In my graduation thesis I will
explore the field of city bikes and their security systems. I will try to distance myself from the
classic lock or bike chain.
The main goal is to find the optimal locking system for bicycles using its pedal. In doing so, we
should not spend more time than we do on a normal lock, but at the same time it must be
stronger in case of fracture - cross-section - destructiveness. A modular bicycle system that has
two functions in one and a longer lifetime.
