Abstract
Namen diplomskega dela je s pomočjo umetnostnozgodovinske študije in likovne teorije pojasniti nekaj osnovnih značilnosti ulične umetnosti in grafitov. Z obravnavo umetniških del iz preteklih zgodovinskih obdobij želim najti oz. pokazati vzporednice z ulično umetnostjo v sodobni družbi. V analizi izpostavljam umetniška dela, ki so s svojo pojavnostjo spremenila način upodabljanja v javnem prostoru. Analizo zaključim z obravnavo ulične umetnosti v postmoderni družbi in smernicami, ki so to umetniško smer zaznamovale v zadnjih nekaj letih. Pri tem se mi zdi pomemben tudi vpliv popularne kulture in interneta, predvsem družbenih omrežji. Ta so odprla popolnoma nove razsežnosti javnega prostora in njegovega dojemanja.

Title:
Aerosol and fine art - street art and contemporary painting
Abstract:
The purpose of this text (my diploma) is to describe main characteristics of the street art and graffiti movement. Focus of the study is relation between artworks from different historic times and the art forms which are typical for street art today. I wanted to expose approaches which marked different historic periods and were also important for further develompent of the art form which we call street art and graffiti. My aim is to define the role that street art had in the postmodern society and still has in the present times. The topic I consider very important nowadays is also rise of the phenomenon of social media. It opened lots of new interpretations of the public space and also heavily influenced on the term of street art and graffiti.
