Abstract
Z odkritjem grafena, se je v zadnjem desetletju povečalo zanimanje za razvoj novih planarnih ogljikovih struktur. Grafin in grafdiin sta prvi enoplastni dvodimezionalni strukturi, ki vsebujeta sp in sp2-hibridizirane ogljikove atome. Spadata v skupno družino grafinov, vendar pa se razlikujeta po strukturi osnovne celice in številu dvojnih in trojnih vezi, ki se povezujejo med sabo. V strokovni literaturi pogosto zasledimo, da lahko ta dva alotropa presežeta lastnosti izjemnega materiala kot je grafen. Namen mojega diplomskega dela je podati pregled na področju novih ogljikovih alotropov. Na začetku sem predstavil do sedaj znane ogljikove alotrope, ter njihove osnovne lastnosti. V nadaljevanju pa sem se osredotočil na mehanske, strukturne, elektronske ter optične lastnosti in jih primerjal med alotropoma. Opisal sem sintezne tehnike. Glede na izvrstne lastnosti teh dveh materialov pa sem podal tudi aplikativne možnosti za uporabo v prihodnosti.

Title:New Carbon Allotropes
Abstract:
With the discovery of graphene there was a huge spike in the interest for discovering new planar carbon structures. Graphyne and graphdiyne are the first one layered two-dimensional structures that include sp an sp2-hybrid carbon atoms. They belong in the graphyne family but differ in the structure of basic cell and the number of double and triple bonds that connect each other. In the scientific literature we often find that these two allotropes can exceed an incredible material such as graphene. Purpose of my diploma thesis is to give an overview on a field of new carbon allotropes. In the beginning I wrote about the already known carbon allotropes and there common properties. Following with mechanical, structural, electronic and optical properties and compered them between the allotropes. Furthermore I described the synthetic techniques. Based on the great properties of these two materials I also explained the possible applications in the future.
