Spolno občutljivo mladinsko delo z dekleti

Spolno občutljivo mladinsko delo z dekleti izhaja iz ideje, da morajo tako dekleta kot fantje v okviru mladinskega dela prejeti enako mero pozornosti, ter predpostavlja, da je dekleta prejmejo manj. Ponekod v tujini so opazili, da se v mladinsko delo vključuje čedalje manj deklet in da jim je treba posvetiti drugačno pozornost kot fantom. Pri nas pomanjkanja deklet ni opaziti, vendar pa nekateri_e mladinski_e delavci_ke opozarjajo, da dekleta potrebujejo nekoliko drugačno obravnavo, saj mladostništvo doživljajo drugače. V današnji družbi se še vedno kažejo nekatere zakoreninjene strukturne neenakosti, dekleta so na nekaterih področjih še vedno na slabšem, ravno spolno občutljivo mladinsko delo pa naj bi to poskušalo preseči. Magistrska naloga opisuje neenakosti, s katerimi se še vedno soočamo, na podlagi tuje literature opisuje razloge in pomembnost izvajanja spolno občutljivega mladinskega dela ter predstavlja že uveljavljene tuje in domače prakse. Na podlagi mnenj in opažanj 16 slovenskih mladinskih delavcev_k poskuša orisati tudi stanje spolno občutljivega mladinskega dela z dekleti v Sloveniji.

• Title: Gender-sensitive youth work with girls

Abstract

Gender-sensitive youth work with girls aims to improve the status of girls in youth work and in broader society. In some countries there are considerably fewer girls involved in youth work activities, which may mean that youth workers have to use a different approach in order to attract girls to become involved in youth activities as well. Even though there is no shortage of girls in Slovenian youth work, some Slovenian youth workers observe that they have to use a different approach to work with girls, therefore there are some gender-sensitive programs existing in Slovenia as well. Girls still face inequalities in modern society, and gender-sensitive youth work can serve as a learning point which can help us figure out how to surpass such problems. This master thesis examines gender inequalities in modern society, the reasons for implementing gender-sensitive youth work, and some established practices in Slovenia and abroad. On the basis of opinions and observations of 16 Slovenian youth workers, the present thesis explores the situation of girls and gender sensitive youth work with girls within the established youth work in Slovenia.
