Measuring instrumentation requires using Analog-to-Digital converters. The development of measuring instruments requires a good knowledge of the performance of the AD converter system used, as this is the only way to evaluate the expected accuracy of the captured signal and the performance of the instrument in a specific application. With good knowledge of AD converter's characteristics, we can decide about their benefits in the systems to be developed.
Integrated Circuit Radio Frequency (RFSoC) systems are designed to develop high frequency signal processing devices. The aim of the thesis was to study the RFSoC of the manufacturer Xilinx, which contains fast analog-to-digital converters and programmable logic for signal processing. It was necessary to develop a digital test system in order to capture a larger block of data in the memory of a programmable circuit and transfer them to a personal computer. The system was implemented and tested on a development board ZCU111.
