Pripomoček za hojo starostnikov

Diplomska naloga raziskuje značilnosti, uporabo in odnos ljudi do pripomočkov za hojo, natančneje hodulj oziroma rolatorjev. Potreba po njih se povečuje, saj se z daljšanjem življenjske dobe povečuje število starostnikov. Hodulje, za razliko od ostalih pripomočkov, uporabljajo ljudje s hujšimi težavami v ravnotežju in poškodbami v spodnjih udih. Kljub pozitivnim učinkom jih zaradi predsodkov do produkta in uporabnikov ne želijo uporabljati. Stigmatizacija je v veliki meri posledica samega izgleda hodulj, ki se pojavljajo na trgu. Te so funkcionalno zadostne, vendar hladnega, medicinskega videza. Na podlagi pridobljenih podatkov iz raziskovalno analitične faze v sklopu naloge oblikujem rolator, ki se odmika od likovnosti klasičnih rolatorjev, poskuša odpraviti stigmatizacijo in rešuje manjše pomanjkljivosti obstoječih produktov.

• Title: Walking assistance device for seniors

Abstract

The diploma thesis explores the characteristics, use and general attitude towards walking aids, more precisely walkers and rollators. The need for them is increasing, as the number of elderly people, due to an increasing life expectancy, is growing. Walkers, unlike other devices, are used by people with more severe balance problems and lower limb injuries. Despite their positive effects, people often do not want to use them due to the prejudice against the product and its users. The social stigma is mostly the consequence of the appearance of products currently present on the market. These are functionally adequate, but of cold, medical appearance. Based on the data obtained from the research (the analytical part of the thesis) I design and present a rollator that moves away from the form of the classic rollator, to eliminate stigma as well as minor shortcomings of the existing products.
