Abstract
Dolino sestavljajo različen teren in talni tipi.

Title:Possibilities of integrated apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) cultivation in Vipava Valley
Abstract:
The Vipava Valley is an area in the western part of Slovenia. It is characterized by a sub-Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot summers. The valley consists of different terrain and soil types. Apricots are rarely grown in the valley currently because cultivation is very limited due to different conditions. Apricot production is possible at several locations in the Vipava valley that meet its ecogeographical and weather requirements. It is grown in suitable locations, on the slopes of hills and in the higher parts of the valley, where cold air stagnation is absent. For cultivation purposes in the lower areas with the warmest locations, the use of late flowering varieties is recommended, mainly due to the spring frost. Due to weather extremes, irrigation and anti-hail systems must be implemented. It is recommended to use cultivars from A and B list of the slovenian fruit selection. Some italian and serbian cultivars also appear to be interesting. 'Myrobalan 29 C' has been used as a rootstock standard for quite some time, nevertheless some other European rootstocks are also promising. To conclude, the Vipava valley is a promising area for integrated apricot cultivation.
