Razvoj kolekcije oblačil in tekstilne instalacije AJDEK po spominih iz otroštva

V magistrskem delu z naslovom Razvoj kolekcije oblačil in tekstilne instalacije AJDEK po spominih iz otroštva sem prikazala celoten proces, od začetne inspiracije do končne zasnove modne kolekcije oblačil ter umetniške instalacije. Namen magistrskega dela je bil oblikovati kolekcijo tekstilij in jih nato nadgraditi v tekstilno instalacijo. Raziskovala sem predvsem različne možnosti interpretacij po spominih razvitih tekstilij. Usmerila sem se predvsem v dva različna, a hkrati eksistencialno povezana sklopa, ki se dotikata tekstilne umetnosti 'od blizu' in 'od daleč'. Ob procesu snovanja instalacije sem iz tekstilij oblikovala tudi sodobno žensko kolekcijo oblačil in dodatkov, v kateri se prepletata eksperimentalni in pret-a-porter princip. V teoretičnem delu sem raziskovala psihološke in filozofske poglede na spomine. Podrobneje sem raziskala, kako otroški spomini zaznamujejo in oblikujejo posameznika in spoznanja utemeljila na lastnem primeru. Raziskala sem tudi kako občutki in spomini vplivajo na ustvarjanje in dojemanje samih tekstilij ter širše umetnosti. Opisala sem tudi instalacijo; umetniško smer konceptualne umetnosti ter predstavila sodobne umetnike in oblikovalce, ki ustvarjajo s tekstilnimi mediji. V eksperimentalnem delu sem predstavila inspiracijo in proces nastanka tekstilij in jih tudi podrobneje opisala. Predstavljeni so uporabljeni materiali in tehnološka izvedba. V sklepni fazi eksperimentalnega dela sem se lotila načrta instalacije, ki obsega tri sklope. Podrobneje sem predstavila zasnovo in namen vsakega sklopa v instalaciji. Prikazan je tudi proces nastanka ženske kolekcije oblačil, od inspiracije pa do končne izvedbe. Končni rezultat magistrske naloge je torej umetniška instalacija, ki jo spremlja kapsulna kolekcija oblačil.

• Title: Developing a fashion collection and textile installation AJDEK inspired by childhood memories

Abstract

In the thesis titled Developing a fashion collection and textile installation AJDEK inspired by childhood memories, I presented the whole process, from inspiration to the stage of final design and articulation of textile installation and fashion collection. The purpose of my master’s thesis was to design a collection of textiles that I have formed into a tex- tile installation. During the process of developing the installation, I have enhanced my master’s thesis with the designing of a contemporary women’s collection of clothing and accessories, which intertwines the experimental and pret-a-porter concept. In the theoretical part, I have explored the psychological and philosophical aspects of memories. I have researched how memories define and shape individuals and revealed these insights on my own example. I have also presented how feelings and memories affect creativity and human perception of art and textiles. This is followed by the pres- entation of Installation; part of conceptual art. I have also presented contemporary art- ists and designers that are working with textiles. In the experimental part, I presented the inspiration and process of forming the textiles. This is followed by a detailed description of materials and technology. In the final stage of the experimental practice, I presented the textile installation layout which is formed of three sets. All of those are presented in details and so is the purpose of each set and element in the installation. I have also presented the process of designing a female fashion collection, from initial inspiration to final garments. The final result of the master’s thesis is, therefore, an art installation, accompanied by a capsule collection of clothes.
