Meine Diplomarbeit erforscht die Rolle der Frau im Nibelungenlied. Auf der Grundlage des Epos, der Zeit der Entstehung des Nibelungenlieds und der Rolle der Frau in dieser Zeit, ist meine Hauptfrage die Rolle der Frau und ihr Einfluss auf die Geschichte der Nibelungen und auf die Zerstörung zweier Reiche.

Abstract

The thesis is a research on women in The Song of the Nibelungs, especially on Brünhild and Kriemhild. Based on the epic itself and the time of the creation of The Song of the Nibelungs and the position of women at this time, the central research issue is the role of women and their influence on the entire story of the Nibelungs and on the collapse of two empires.
