Abstract
št. do propada Zahodnega rimskega cesarstva leta 476. Za 4. stoletje, ko so cvetele še nekatere petovionske obrti, predvsem lončarstvo, so veliko dragocenih najdb dala arheološke raziskave, predvsem takrat še uporabljanih rimskih grobišč.

Title:Petoviona in the 4th century
Abstract:
Petoviona, a Roman settlement along the River Drava, was under the Roman occupation from the 15th century until the collapse of the western Roman empire in 476. The central theme in the dissertation was the 4th century, which is considered in the Roman history as the century of the beginning of the downfall of the big empire. There are events that have been lined up which have been essential for Petoviono. One, for example is the battle at Ptuj field in 388, which was a significant link in the civil war for the imperial throne. As well the Christian development was examined, which in this century has replaced the form of belief until then and strongly changed the mentality and the way of life. An important personality related to Christianity was foremost Bishop Victorinus of Pettau, the first known writer in this area, who died a martyr death in the Diocletian's persecutions. With the expansion of the Christian doctrine in the Petovion Christian community he influenced firmly the then religious practice. For the 4th century, when some of petovion crafts still thrived, especially pottery, a lot of valuable artefacts were given by then still used burial grounds.
