Abstract

Title:
Hydraulic oil moisture control sensor design
Abstract:
The condition of the hydraulic oil is - besides all other parts of the hydraulic system - of cruical importance. Our goal in this task is to design a sensor that senses the water in the hydraulic oil. Water is a common cause of defects and faults in the system. We can avoid this by measuring the moisture and taking the right precautions. The end result of this task is a sensor that needs to be retrofitted. More measurements are needed so that we can use the sensor as a reliable source of information about the condition and nature of the hydraulic oil.
