Abstract
V diplomskem delu obravnavam položaj, razumevanje in spremembe v odnosu do tujega v dveh kontekstih: kontekstu mišljenja reda in kontekstu filozofske hermenevtike.

Title:Disagreement and governing the foreign - order in the shadow of the extra-ordinary
Abstract:
My thesis is concerned with the position, meaning and changes of the foreign as it relates to forms of order and to philosophical hermeneutics. At first I look at the transition in the concept of order: from the all-encompassing so called total order of the classical era to the contingent and fleeting modern form. The foreign becomes evident only when this transition takes place. The same analysis is necessary to observe the changes that happen with classical hermeneutics as it transforms into what Hans-Georg Gadamer considered modern philosophical hermeneutics and develops a specific understanding of what is foreign/unknown/alien in opposition to the already understood. I characterize the distortion in the concept of the foreign/unfamiliar/unknown. The unfamiliar is no longer relative but total. Here I take my understanding from Bernhard Waldenfels who provides a description of the foreign that is completely unreachable and will never be understood. I try to explain the emergence of such unknown through the process of colonialism which I consider a specific of modern order. Wanting to rectify the situation I demand that hermeneutics be opened up to the questions of power and of the political. Here I borrow from Jacques Rancière and his conception of la mésentente as a state of complete and utter disagreement in which one side - in this case the side of the colonizer - completely disregard the other - the colonized - because they don't consider it a rational subject at all. This way I try to re-invent the unknown or the absolutely foreign as something that is extra-ordinary but always present in the constitution of any specific modern order as well as any form of understanding in which hermeneutics is to play a part. The extra-ordinary is both free from the rules of the order and a constitutive part of its creation and existence
