Abstract
Zdravstveni absentizem in zadovoljstvo zaposlenih v delovnem okolju predstavljata enega izmed ključnih izzivov organizacij tako javnega kot zasebnega sektorja. Odločilen element organizacij predstavljajo ljudje, zato je skrb za njihovo zadovoljstvo in prisotnost v delovnem okolju ena izmed nalog vodstva. V diplomskem delu so predstavljeni izsledki proučevanja povezanosti zdravstvenega absentizma in zadovoljstva zaposlenih v delovnem okolju občin jugovzhodne statistične regije. Raziskava diplomskega dela je bila izvedena s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika, sestavljenega iz 12 vprašanj. Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da 51,4 % zaposlenih v zadnjih 12 mesecih ni bila nikoli začasno odsotna z dela in da so glavni vzrok začasne odsotnosti bolezni in poškodbe zaposlenih, kar se kaže v 51,0 %. Zaposleni so v povprečju najbolje ocenili zadovoljstvo z delovnimi pogoji, in sicer z oceno 3,7, najslabše pa zadovoljstvo z možnostjo za izobraževanja, usposabljanja in napredovanja z oceno 3,1. Na podlagi rezultatov raziskave smo dokazali, da med zdravstvenim absentizmom in zadovoljstvom zaposlenih v delovnem okolju občin jugovzhodne statistične regije obstaja delna statistično značilna povezanost, in sicer pri petih od skupno devetih sklopih zadovoljstva zaposlenih v povezavi z zdravstvenim absentizmom. Na osnovi raziskave, pripravljenih analiz in oblikovanih ukrepov menimo, da je diplomsko delo lahko dobra podlaga za vodstvo občin, saj lahko s predstavljenimi rezultati raziskave dobijo vpogled v realno stanje na področju zdravstvenega absentizma in zadovoljstva zaposlenih v delovnem okolju znotraj občin in začnejo s konkretnim oblikovanjem ukrepov za povečevanje stopnje zadovoljstva zaposlenih, s tem pa bo potem posledično (verjetno) manjši zdravstveni absentizem.

Title:THE CONNECTION BETWEEN SICKNESS ABSENTEEISM AND EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION IN MUNICIPALITIES OF THE SOUTHEAST STATISTICAL REGION
Abstract:
Sickness absenteeism and employee satisfaction in the work environment are two of the key challenges for public and private sector organizations. The decisive element of organizations is people, so caring for their satisfaction and presence in the work environment is one of the tasks of management. The diploma thesis presents the results of a study of the connection between sickness absenteeism and employee satisfaction in the work environment of the municipalities of the southeast statistical region. The survey was carried out with the help of a questionnaire consisting of 12 questions. The results of the survey showed that 51,4 % of employees have never been temporarily absent from work in the last 12 months and that the main cause of temporary absence is employee illness and injury, as indicated by 51,0 %. On average, employees rated their satisfaction with the working conditions the highest, with a score of 3,7, and their satisfaction with the possibility of education, training, and promotion the lowest, with a score of 3,1. Based on the results of the research, it has been proved that there is a partially statistically significant correlation between sickness absenteeism and employee satisfaction in the work environment of municipalities in the southeast statistical region, namely in five out of nine sets of employee satisfaction pertaining to sickness absenteeism. Based on the research, the prepared analyses, and the formulated measures, it is believed that the diploma thesis can serve as a good basis for municipal management, as the presented research results can provide insight into the real situation in the field of sickness absenteeism and employee satisfaction in the work environment within municipalities, enabling the management to increase employee satisfaction levels, (likely) resulting in lower sickness absenteeism.
