Abstract
Namen izdelave nalepk in magnetov z uporabo termokromnih barv je bil dokazati uporabno in tržno vrednost termokromnih barv in ozavestiti potencialnega kupca o nevarnostih sonca do hišnih ljubljenčkov puščenih v avtomobilu. Veliko ljudi še zdaj pušča pse, mačke ali celo otroke v avtomobilih, ker se ne zavedajo smrtno nevarnih posledic sonca. Cilj diplomskega dela pa je bil izdelati in analizirati uporabnost nalepk in magnetov. V teoretičnem delu je opisana tehnika tiska, sitotiskarske in termokromne barve, ki so bile uporabljene pri izdelavi nalepk in magnetov. Predstavljene so tudi lastnosti funkcionalnega tiska in tehnološki napredki ter njihove prednosti, ki nam jih funkcionalni tisk omogoča. Navedena je sama sestava in kemijsko delovanje procesa termokromizma in levko barvil, ki so osnova za delovanje termokromnih barv. V eksperimentalnem delu so predstavljene uporabljene metode dela, od samega procesa izdelave motiva, kopirne predloge in tiskovne forme do tiska. Opisani so testi, ki so bili potrebni za primerjavo kakovosti materialov, in opremo, ki je bila potrebna, da so testi bili ustrezno izvedeni. V zadnjem delu diplomske naloge so ob meritvah in rezultatih testov podane ugotovitve in sklepi ter opis prihodnosti uporabe tovrstnih nalepk.

Title:Printing of stickers and magnets using thermochromic colors
Abstract:
The purpose of printing stickers and magnets using thermochormic printing inks was to prove their usefulness and commercial value and to make potential consumers aware of the dangers of the sun to pets left in cars. Many people still leave dogs, cats and even children in cars because they’re unaware of the danger that prolonged sun exposure presents. The aim of this diploma thesis was to print magnets and stickers using thermochromic colors and analyze their usability. In the theoretical part, we described the printing technique, screen printing and thermochromic printing inks used in the process of manufacturing thermochromic labels and magnets. We also presented the characteristics of functional printing and the technological advances made possible by it. We have researched the chemical composition of thermochromic pigments and how thermochromism works in printing inks using leuco dyes as pigments. In the experimental part, we presented the methods used in the making of the product. Firstly, we made the motive, copy template and printing from, followed by the printing process. Next, we described the tests needed to compare the quality of the material and equipment needed to carry out such tests. In the last part of the diploma thesis we presented the measurements and the results acquired while carrying out tests. Lastly, we presented our findings and conclusions.
