Učinek glasbenih delavnic na osebe z demenco na Goriškem : diplomsko delo

Skozi predhodno delo z ljudmi z demenco sem opazila, da si ob glasbi na radiu kaj zapojejo, da zaplešejo, četudi komaj hodijo in podobno. Tako sem ugotovila, da glasba v njih nekaj prebudi. Zanimalo me je, kaj točno. Zato sem se odločila, da bom raziskovala vpliv glasbe na ljudi z demenco. Za raziskavo v diplomski nalogi sem izvedla glasbene delavnice. Sodelovala sem s tremi pari zakoncev, torej šestimi osebami. Z vsakim parom sem se srečala štirikrat. Pri glasbenih delavnicah sem uporabljala svoje glasbeno znanje in tehnike glasbene terapije. Raziskovala sem, kakšne odzive pri starih ljudeh z demenco sproža glasba, kako le-ta vpliva na počutje starih ljudi z demenco, kako glasba vpliva na odnos med starima človekoma z demenco in kako se razlikujejo odzivi med sodelujočimi pari starih ljudi. V kvalitativni raziskavi sem podatke pridobila z opazovanjem s popolno udeležbo. Ugotovila sem, da glasba sproža številne odzive, tako v govoru kot v glasbi. Poleg tega sem ugotovila, da glasba vpliva tudi na odnos med starima človekoma z demenco, razvijejo se mnogi različni medsebojni odnosi v govoru in tudi v glasbi.

• Title: Music Workshops Effect on People with Dementia in the Goriška region

Abstract

Through my previous work with people with dementia, I have noticed that they sing or dance, even though they can barely walk, etc. Thus, I found out that music awakens something in them and I was interested in knowing what exactly that was. This is the reason I did research on the effect of music on people with dementia. Music workshops were carried out for the research in my thesis. I worked with three married couples, i. e. six people, and I met with each couple four times. At music workshops I was using my music knowledge and music therapy techniques. I was analyzing how people with dementia respond to music, how music affects the mood of elderly people with dementia and the couple’s relationship, as well as what is the difference between the participants’ reactions. The data in my qualitative research was obtained by observing with full participation. I found out that there are many reactions to music in speech and music. I also found out that music affects the relationship between two elder people with dementia and that various speech and music relationships develop.
