Military air bases, that provide execution of air force operations, present exposed and vulnerable military target. To maintain the capabilities of air forces, which take key part in modern warfare, a tactical solution in terms of auxiliary air base was developed. In certain scale, these can be used to fill in the role of a main air base. In this thesis, the possibilitiy of organising auxiliary air base in Slovenia, that would provide air operations with PC-9M Swift aircraft, was discussed. On the basis of basic data collected for chosen highway section, by means of Google Earth application and fieldwork, a plan for key flight phases was made, which were demonstrated in flight simulator. In case of elimination of certain obstacles and mobile infrastructure placing, auxiliary air base could be organised using highway section Povodje. Flight preparataion, which includes air base exploitation, highway and mobile infrastructure features, important distances calculation and flight visualisation, presents key part from operational point of view. In addition, some flying techniques, that could aid to higher safety in this kind of tasks were set out.
