Abstract
V okviru svoje diplomske naloge sem preučila tehnike termične analize za preučevanje materialov kulture dediščine. Najprej opisujem nekaj najbolj uporabljenih tehnik termične analize, kot so termogravimetrija, diferenčna termična analiza, diferenčna dinamična kalorimetrija in analiza sproščenih plinov. Nato sem se posvetila trem izbranim materialom kulturne dediščine: malti, barvilu Maya Blue ter starodavni keramiki. Pri vsakemu od omenjenih vzorcev na kratko predstavim njegovo zgodovino, pripravo vzorca ter kemijsko ozadje. Za vsakega od treh predstavljenih materialov kulturne dediščine sem poiskala enega ali več znanstvenih člankov, kjer je opisana njegova analiza z eno od tehnik termične analize.

Techniques of thermal analysis for studying cultural heritage materials
Abstract:
The basis of my diploma thesis is the study of thermoanalytical techniques for examining materials of cultural heritage. Some of the most frequently used thermoanalytical techniques such as thermogravimetry, differential thermal analysis, differential scanning calorimetry and evolved gas analysis are described in the introduction. The focus is then turned on three selected cultural heritage materials: mortars, Maya Blue dye and ancient pottery. Brief history, sample preparation and chemical background are described for each of the samples mentioned. One or more scientific articles describing the analysis of each of these materials, using the afformentioned thermoanalytical techniques, are presented.
